MYK invited to the Arab Innovation Network Annual Conference

MYK attends the Arab Innovation Network Annual Conference (AINAC) in Abu Dhabi. MYK’s Executive Vice President, Dr Khater, was invited as a keynote speaker to talk about innovation in the MENA region and how MENA can become a more competitive innovation ecosystem. MYK was honoured to be one of the two private equity firms invited to attend the conference and comment on ideas and projects submitted by young Arab innovators.

MYK was invited to the Arab Innovation Network Annual Conference (AINAC) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, between 4th and 6th of December, 2012. The AINAC was a three-day conference that brought together leading innovation experts and practitioners from business, academia and government to exchange experiences and inspire innovation in the MENA region.

 

Comprising five keynote speakers, over 15 presentations and 5 workshops, the AINAC provided opportunities for participants to network with like-minded visionaries and innovators that support the future of innovation in the MENA region.

 

Dr Mohamed Khater was invited as a keynote speaker to present the lab-to-market process of innovation and the need in Arab world to develop an innovative ecosystem to enable the journey from lab to market. He also organised a workshop that aimed at introducing innovators and entrepreneurs to the way in which they can turn their ideas into successful businesses. The workshop gave insight into how venture capital firms work, and how an idea can win investment and grow into a successful business.

 

MYK was honoured to be one of the two private equity firms invited to attend the conference and comment on ideas and projects submitted by young Arab innovators.
